Call of Duty 2 or Call of Duty 3
Pros:
Amazing X-Box Live, Graphics are still solid.
Cons:
Game has glitches, game-play is same as Call of Duty 2, lack of innovation
The Bottom Line:
I believe this game is a buy for most people, since it is a good first shooter and X-Box Live saves the game, but beware of repetition short campaign mode.

Author's Review
Most people when they write reviews don't usually like to compare games. In my case though it only strengthens what I believe maybe a so so game. Call of Duty 2 was the Call of Duty that seemed to captivate teenagers of all ages. This first person shooter gave the first real thrill of a good war game on the X-Box 360. Being dragged around by my allies, and then sitting with my sniper rifle waiting for the Germans to cross my path. It was so overwhelming.
Now getting away from Call of Duty 2 and looking closely at Call of Duty 3. The first thing that stands out is that the game takes place on the road to France, when the allies pushed to reclaim France from the Germans. This is one cool new aspect of the game. Usually, all war games have the same battles, not this time around.
Throughout the single player game, various new weapons will be at the players disposal. All the old weapons from Call of Duty 2 are still here. The right bumper and left bumper are your buttons to fire a gernade and smoke bombs, and all of the other controls are basically the same as Call of Duty 2. Anyone who played Call of Duty 2 will have an easy time adapting to Call of Duty 3.
These are some of the good qualities of Call of Duty 3. Now some of the bad. The newest thing that everyone has seen on commercials or on G4TV is the new additive of a German jumping out of a corner and pinning you against a wall. When this happens a series of button pushing will help the player get the German off and eventually kill him. This was a good idea by the developers, but it just slows down the pace of the game. When your in the heat of a battle and you walk into a house and a German pins you to the wall it just gets annoying.
Another major concern I had was that even though I was playing in France all the scenery and houses all reminded me of Call of Duty 2. I very rarely saw anything new and innovative. I am not saying that the graphics are bad, because they are amazing, just not more amazing then its predecessor.
Vehicles in the campaign mode are not used that often. There is only one tank battle, and sometimes you get to drive around jeep, but not fight with the jeep, its more of an escape mechanism, what fun is that? Though, I will say when I get to it, the on-line vehicles are fun to use, but that's not till a little later on in the review.
The last two major problems that I have concerning Call of Duty 3 is it's length and the cinematic movies. Most War games in the past have been known to go for maybe between 8 and 20 hours depending on how fast the average player is. In this case I sat down and beat the game in about 6 hours. I am more of a speed player, but still 6 hours is not a long time for a game that I paid $60.00 for. The second thing, which is cinematic movies, really grinds my teeth. One of the worst things about this game is that every time you load a checkpoint you must always, and I must stress always watch the cinematic movie. Sure it is nice the first time to watch it, but if you keep dieing in a part and have to keep loading the movie just gets dull and annoying.
Now the real reason I paid $60.00 for this game. This is very important, so I am going to capitalize it............. X-BOX LIVE!
Call of Duty 3 may be the best first person shooter I have played on-line. I know that there are some die-hard halo fans out there who love that game on-line, but I must say that I am very impressed with Call of Duty 3 On-line the choices for game-play are Team Battle, Battle, Capture the Flag, Headquarters, ..etc. The list goes on, and you can have a maximum of 24 players at once on 1 map, that is ridiculous. Vehicles that can be used are tanks, motorcycles, and jeeps. The choices of characters are rifleman, light or heavy, scout, medic, and anti-armor. The one flaw is that the German weapons usually have a lot of recoil and they are harder to shoot with then the Allies weapons.
Overall I believe this game is worth the money to pay for it, if your going to play on X-box Live. If your not and just buying it for the campaign levels, I would recommend you just rent it and save yourself some money.
