Very disappointed in Bushnell warranty service
Date of Review: Aug 25, 2006
The Bottom Line: Don't waste you money on this product. And don't buy Bushnell because of their unfair warranty policy.
I received this as gift from my wife a few months ago. I took a couple of practice shots and then tried unsuccessfully to download them to my computer. But I figured I could work through the software issues later. A week later, I found battery corrosion -- from the fresh-from-the-package AAA batteries I installed a week earlier. I'm not a techie, but I presume the product was defective since the batteries were fresh.
In any event, I returned it to Bushnell for what I hoped would be warranty repairs. Bushnell refused to honor the warranty because of the battery corrosion issue, stating that it was not a defect in the product that caused that problem. Again, I don't know what actually caused the corrosion but since the batteries were fresh (and I am still using batteries from the same 16 pack and they are working fine in other electronics) I can only assume that it has to be the product that was defective. Bushnell insist that could not be the cause of the problem.
Bottom line is no satisfaction from Bushnell other than an offer to replace it for $150. I don't care to invest more money in a product that I never got to work in the first place. I'm having it sent back unrepaired and will try to get a refund from the merchant. I will never buy another Bushnell product and will never recommend anyone else do so. Am I being unfair about this?
