ben harper is the real deal. after having discovered him on a whim in a bagel store in the early a.m. hours in santa barbara, i am a convert. from day one his music has proven to be chock full o nuts. with a blend of melodic guitar riffs and well developed lyrics mr. harper has created yet another sleeper hit of an album. i suggest his whole catalog, but this album is a prime example of his work. pick it up...in fact pick them all up if you want a mix of blues and rock that has fallen by the wayside to the new beats of drum machines and macintoshes. sorry lenny your successor has arrived.
