A Good Burn

Burn Notice is a new series on USA that I took the time to check out for 2 reasons.  One, it looked like a spy/action show that could be really entertaining.  Two, that it has Bruce Campbell.  For those not familiar, he has been the star of the Evil Dead movies, as well as the Brisco County Junior TV series.  Both of these are cult classics and Bruce is a great character actor in Burn Notice as well.  Gabrielle Anwar as Fiona is a saucy little actress, even if she could use a few more pounds on her.  Jeffrey Donavan is a believable leading man, and can seamlessly slide from character to character befitting a spy.  The guest appearances on the series throughout the 1st season were always a treat, and the plot and storyline of a spy trying to find out who "outed" or "burned" him is a great twist.  Supposedly cast in Miami, there is always a flash or three of eye candy, as well as a gunfight, fistfight, or car chase in every episode.  It can be a little campy with some of the aliases that the characters take on, but all in all a very entertaining series that is a staple of my Thursday nights.
