Get the imports!!!

by   skywarpii ,  Jul 20, 2000
Pros: Loud, fast, intense
Cons: Death Star is slow; why not add a track like Raverbashing instead?
Review: My first glimpse of Atari Teenage Riot came as a brief newspiece on MTV News back in winter of 97/98...I happened to have MTV on while cleaning my room for background noise and heard an interesting story, started to watch, and only got to hear a clip of...

I...Want...to Destroy!!! Atari Teenage Riot's Burn, Berlin, Burn

by   minorthreat78 , top reviewer in Music at Epinions.com ,  Jul 20, 2003
Pros: Raw, brutal, insanely fast and harder than a brick to the head
Cons: How many people want bricks hitting their skull?
The Bottom Line: The Bottom Line is angry and prone to jumping about in fits of pure rage.
Review: Sometimes, bands fall through the cracks of the vast expanse of music-dom. Sometimes, this is because their music doesn't fit into an established "genre" of music. Other times, its because the music is so out there, its hard to define who exactly would...

A Mean, Abrasive Album from Atari Teenage Riot

by   thevoid99 , top reviewer in Music at Epinions.com ,  Sep 27, 2001
Pros: Excellent Album from Atari Teenage Riot
Cons: The Angst of the Record Might Annoy Some People
The Bottom Line: This album is a great introduction to hardcore techno and the music of Atari Teenage Riot. (4.5 out of 5)
Review:
(Note: This review is in memory of Atari Teenage Riot founder Carl Crack who had died on Sept. 6, 2001)

When the electronica movement came to the U.S. in 1997, it was supposed to be the new genre that would replace alternative rock....

Rage Within the Machine

by   Pyanfar ,  Apr 5, 2000
Pros: Unique and Digital in a Futuristic, Cyberpunk kind of way
Cons: "Angry at the System" theme might get old to some
The Bottom Line: Electro-aggro that's great to get your Rage on. If RATM held Moby in their studio at gunpoint, this might be the album they'd cut.
Review: Many consider Atari Teenage Riot to be the creators of a style called Digital Hardcore. In fact, the label is Digital Hardcore Records (DHR for short).*

"I'm confused!" you say, "I've got hardcore and speed and thrash and...

Die Deutschen sind verrückt

by   anna13 ,  Jul 17, 2000
Pros: The music
Cons: The lyrics
Review: Ah, such a dichotomy. I love the music. However, I think most of the lyrics are pretty silly. Fortunately for me, I'm able to ignore lyrical content pretty easily, as long as the tune in question isn't a sappy love song.

Let's start...

Fun, but questionable.

by   gulik ,  May 24, 2000
Pros: Noisy and fun.
Cons: There's much better hardcore out there.
Review: ATR's style is quite simply a fusion of political punk and gabber spiced up with some anime samples. Although this sounds really cool in theory, it comes across as mildly juvenile. The lyrics try very hard to be serious, but are usually just very funny....
