Great coffee, even greater if you make 8+ cups

This coffee maker is clearly the child of it's commercial/industrial parents; It functions exactly like the commercial Bunn unit at my office.

A storage tank keeps water hot at all times, which is supposed to ensure appropriate brewing temperature. (Most home coffee makers brew too cold) And it's kind of nice to have instant 200 degree water for making tea or instant soup. The other nice thing is that since the water's already hot, it brews FAST (10 cups in 3 minutes) You can hear when the heating element clicks on to heat the water, and it seems to be pretty infrequent, and I haven't noticed a difference in my electric bill.

Bunn touts the unit's 'turbulence' that is, it sprays the water in such a manner as to suspend all the grounds in hot water to derive the most flavor- its true - you can see it when you pull out the filter basket and grounds are coating the whole filter, rather than just sitting in the same pile you put them in like a regular coffee maker.

It does not function entirely like an ordinary home coffee maker; there is no 'on' switch, since its always on. When you pour cold water in and shut the lid, it displaces an equal amount of hot water from the storage tank. The lid operates as a switch, and brewing won't start until you close it.

This is not the coffee maker for the 1-4 cup drinker. It wont even brew less than 4 cups, and when you brew 4, it comes out weaker than I'd like, but still, good. I've found the more coffee you make at a time, the better it tastes.

One important thing to note: Call Bunn and have them ship the reduced flow spray head (it's free), it slows down the brewing process a bit to give more full-bodied coffee.
