Nice, BUT.....

We were initially very pleased with the Bumbleride. It has a great set of features and at a price that is much more justifiable than the Bugaboo. It provided our newborn with a wonderfully comfortable environment for strolls and naps and has served her well as our every day stroller.

BUT -- this stroller is just not durable. Early on, the basket developed holes because it sags onto the wheels very easily. Then the bar that secured the basket snapped in a way that is completely not repairable. The bar is made out of plastic -- but it is molded to LOOK like it is welded. I'd rather they had spent time designing a bar that can be replaced when it breaks.

Now we are experiencing problems with the wheels -- the plastic bars that slide into place to lock the back wheels and keep the stroller stable no longer snap into place when the mechanism is engaged. It looks like an internal spring has given out and we have to use a flathead screwdriver to push them in otherwise the stroller won't stay on track properly.

We have admittedly gotten 18 months of use out of this stroller in NYC, but I regularly see kids older than ours in still serviceable Bugaboos. It seems that Bumbleride got increased functionality at a lower price by using cheap materials. Even at this price, we expect longer service. If you walk more than a mile a day in a city, consider a more durable stroller.
