The Le Sabre missed my vote by just a touch...
Pros:
Luxurious--yes, new car smell--yes, leather, etc.
Cons:
not much, it's just that...
The Bottom Line:
A very very nice car, but just a little hitch in the peach-fluff along the way

Author's Review
The 2001 Buick Le Sabre...a very Nice car.
I'll go with that. And though I've never been overly-partial to Buicks, I did once own a 1984 Buick Century Custom. A very nice car--much like the Le Sabre in many ways.
Dual bench seats, climate control, front wheel drive, and decent fuel efficiency.
But, what I find to be the hitch with Buicks (other than the ubiquitous "Oldsmobile with a Buick Logo-on" looks)..is the low resale value. I remember my 10-year old Buey with 70K selling for $900. A Lumina (ie Chevy Le Sabre) would--in my epinion--probably have garnered a little more dough on resale. Maybe not, I could be wrong.
The good news (for garage guys types like me) is that there are almost literally ba-jillions of these ol' L-Sabe's for sale, and therefore...one would assume repair parts plentiful.
Decent power from a fullsize....and smmmmmmmmmmmooooooth, like Barry White.
In closing, nice cars--though I must be honest any Buick I would buy at this point in my life would have the 3.8 Turbo from the GNX, or the 455 Stage III from the OLD GSX....but that's probably another story entirely.....
Thank you for reading my E-pinion, if you feel like leaving a comment, please do...I enjoy hearing your feedback.
