Product Review

Great LeSabre

by   aviator2005 ,   Sep 28, 2005

Pros:  Soo many, gas mileage (compared to my Tahoe), ride, seats, acceleration, few problems

Cons:  Barely any. AC compressors, starters, brake trouble & thats it.

The Bottom Line:  This is the perfect car, I wish they still made them.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

My grandpa drove the LeSabre off of the showroom floor back in May of 1989. 12 years 135,000 miles later it was passed on to me. It had been driven all over the country from a small little town in Alabama. Although I admit there have been a few problems:
Transmission at 1200 miles, a/c twice, and starter quite a few times, I love the Buick. Its the second Buick I have owned. It has minimal rust and the silver paint is still in alright condition. Even with Guardsman tires the Lesabre glides down the road like a cloud. You wouldnt think it, but that 3.8L 3800 has alot of power after 16 years. Even though it is a custom, it has a few of the nicer options, power windows, power locks, power seats, and premium spoke wheels. I dont hesitate to take the Lesabre on 8+ hour trips to florida or lousiana, its never given me trouble on the road and I have found it gets a good 18 MPG City and 22 MPG Highway if I keep fairly new air filters and spark plugs in it. I plan on keepin my Lesabre until it dies on me and I hope to restore it someday.
