Author's Review

My dad bought an '89 LeSabre which was the dealer's showroom car back then. It had few options in it: power locks and that was about it. The ride of this 8 cyl. vehicle was great though. It drives itself basically. This baby wanted to cruise at high miles no matter where it was which was great for my dad since he drove long distances anyway. We just recently had to get rid of it. The catalytic converter went and so did the brakes. We had made other major repairs: we had to fix the radiator for a leak. I'll have to edit this once I can get my dad to go over our repair history. However, we put on 205,000 miles on it, and if we made the repairs, we could have driven it longer. The engine was having a hard time, but I think we could have gotten a couple thousand more miles out of it. It's engine was willing, but everything else was weak. I definitely recommend the purchase of a LeSabre. It is a reliable car, and my friends and co-workers know that I am keen on reliability. That's why I bought 2 Hondas in the recent past. If I could afford the LeSabre, and my dad would agree, we would have seriously considered purchasing one again this year. The only complaint I have is that it is a major gas guzzler. I thought my Honda V6 was bad, but this car is always thirsty.
