Just loving our frog!

Get over the sticker shock. We've found our Bugaboo Frog to be worth every penny! It turns on a dime, is a smooth and comfortable ride, the bassinet doubles as a sleep-over bed when travelling with our new baby, and it is stylish. Even my mother, who eschews all things trendy, says it is a functional and comfortable stroller to push.

We drive a VW Beetle, so when going out in the car we have to tear it down but it does fit in the trunk. Any self-respecting gadget girl can handle it and you'll get good at it. I am my own pit crew now!

The only thing we didn't like was the useless sack that hangs underneath. It is too small and flimsy to be useful for anything so my clever husband crafted a proper shelf out of wood. Now I can stow my groceries and purchases, even a hot coffee, on our "buckboard" as we call it.

I highly recommend getting the car seat attachment for the Graco/Peg Perego. Makes quick in and out trips from the car very easy. Just don't get lazy and use it all the time - it's better for baby to be in the bassinet rather than in the car seat for extended periods of time.

The large wheels are awesome over streetcar tracks, and we took it to the beach and used the tilt function through the sand - handled like a dream. Felt bad for the other parents who were struggling with their little-wheeled strollers that were getting bogged down in the sand. If you live in a snowy locale, get a stroller with big wheels!

Also love the flexibility in positions - baby facing, baby facing away, tilted/reclined. Gives you option for turning the baby out of the sun with a simple flip of the handle. And it's better for baby to have more face to face time with parent when they are young. Most strollers don't have this feature.

Watch out for stroller systems that would see your baby sitting in their car seat for extended periods of time - not good for baby's back development.
