The Bottom Line: A good level of bang for the buck. For household or in-home office use this machine should fit the bill especially if you're looking for wireless compatiblity.

Brother MFC-7840W - Good Printer with LOUSY Software

The Bottom Line: Don't buy it until Brother produces more user friendly control software, unless you use it as a wireless printer only, not for its wireless multifunction capability

Good unit and good value for the price

The Bottom Line: A great device that has a small foot-print, is full-featured and does all of them well - and all at a very affordable price.  Bottom line: Great device/Great value.
Review: Found the MFC-7840w at Newegg during one of their promotions. I would recommend including them in your search for the best price on this device as often times they have the lowest price when they put it on sale.

Setup took a little longer...

A Sad Disappointment - this is long but please read before you buy

The Bottom Line: See if you can do better than this, even if you have to spend a little more.  Why? Machine jams constantly, cheap construction, problems with tech support and wireless.

Review: in a price stand point it's good however some other things sound be addressed. for example the display interface are hard to understand, mine makes a winning noise sometimes when printing( not that bad), and sometimes it lags. these are not frequent...
