Inexpensive, featureful, compact unit for home or office

by   rnovak ,  Jan 18, 2007
Pros: Cheap supplies, small footprint, good print quality, great price
Cons: Printer stops if one ink cartridge runs out. Otherwise, no problems.
The Bottom Line: For light use it's excellent. Ink is cheap and the output is good. I'd buy another if I had another desk.
Review: I bought this MFC-210C printer for my desk at work about 8 months ago, after using the MFC-420CN at home for a few months. Sometimes I print things that I don't want to lose behind a coworker's fifteen thousand page powerpoint presentation, like ...

Looks cheap, but better than HP or Lexmark.

by   sage_patrynxx ,  Aug 15, 2005
Pros: Consistent Ink flow. Even after a refill. (some cleaning might be warranted now and then.
Cons: Paper jams when printing in draft mode. Feels cheap.
The Bottom Line: Do you want a printer that takes $60 a month to run? Or $8 a month to run. Which is the lesser of two evils. Paper jams or ink cartridges.
Review: My mother bought this printer after some input from me. I'll never again buy a printer with the print head on the cartridge. It's an environmental waste. And expensive too. Now it's been half a year since she's had it and darn. The thing runs sweet. ...

Monster features...not monster sized!

by   sunpinions ,  Sep 2, 2005
Pros: Low Profile, Card-reader, Ink tank vs. cartridges $$$
Cons: No biggies so far, especially considering features/price
Review: I picked up the Brother MFC-210C because it has one of the lowest profiles I have seen in multi-function printers. I replaced my Dell-940 multi-function unit with the MFC-210C. Big pluses include the multi-card reader and true stand alone fax ...

Great backup printer

by   desi101 ,  Oct 12, 2006
Pros: Does good job for printing, scanning, photocopying. Inks last long time.
Cons: None so far.
Review: I own Brother MFC210C printer from almost a year and simply love it. So far I had to replace the black cartridge only once. The original color cartridges are still working. Staples had some great sale going on and I ended up buying this printer for ...

Great all-in-one!

by   mikegami ,  Sep 9, 2005
Pros: Excellent quality/price ratio Low maintenance cost
Cons: It does not print photos well.
Review: This all-in-one is an excellent choice for people on a budget. Offers good features and ink is not expensive at all (again, maintenance cost must be considered). Overall, good quality and ...

Brother MFC-210C: Great printer, copier, scan, fax at good price

by   ajrs ,  Aug 22, 2005
Pros: Very good quality. Multifunction. Easy. Fast. Price.
Cons: Lack of CF type II input. Needs more ink that others printers.
The Bottom Line: Very recommended. It is a small office in a small machine. Can send fax, print, scan, and make copies with really good quality, no jams and quite fast.
Review: I bought it on march 2005 and it’s great. I looked also in the usual brands (hp, canon, Lexmark), finally for the price I decided to go with the Brother and never been so happy on taking that decision. The cost was finally $100CAD (before taxes), in ...

One of the best multi-function centers I've dealt with

by   smariebrown605 ,  Feb 14, 2008
Pros: Many functions Includes digital camera card plug-in
Cons: Ink seems to run out quickly
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend this printer because it is easy to use and has a variety of functions.
Review: My husband and I run two businesses right from our home. We have bought many pieces of office equipment, including two Brother centers, one being this mfc210. What I like about it is the many functions. You can copy, print from your computer, fax, and ...

Good for home, but beware of the ink

by   tanbo ,  Aug 28, 2006
Pros: Good for small spaces. Has many functions built into one machine.
Cons: Doesn't work at all if ANY of the ink cartridges are out of ink.
Review: I have been very happy with the versatility of this machine. I can send a fax, print a photo from a memory card, copy documents at home, and print from the computer. It would be nice if I could print on an envelope, or do double-sided documents, but for ...

Great for the home office.

by   chlovitus ,  Aug 2, 2006
Pros: Price and features are hard to beat, small size takes very little space.
Cons: Slow printing, display is hard to read.
Review: I have had the machine for a little over a year and have had no problems with it. Granted, it does not scan/copy to photo quality but is acceptable for most uses. I am really happy to be able to copy pages from books or magazines without having to go ...

Works great for me.

by   ewilcox11 ,  May 2, 2006
Pros: Lots of functions. Easy to use.
Cons: Don't use as my primary printer, so no complaints.
Review: Bought this at Staples for around $100, plus a $30 rebate. I use it for home office. I was actually looking for a scanner, but this was priced at about the same as a flatbed. I have another printer so I don't use it for printing much, only to receive ...
