Still going strong (since August 2001!) Great value.

The Bottom Line: Good small business printer. A bit of overkill for the home. Ask yourself if you can do without duplexing.
Review: The HL-1470N shares a print engine with the models HL-1230, HL-1440 and HL-1450. It is the follow on product to the HL-1240, HL-1250 & HL-1270N printers.

Good value for a medium volume networked printer

The Bottom Line: The 1470N is perfect for a small office/low-volume networked printer.
Review: We bought about 20 of these to use in lower-volume (fewer than 2000 pages per month) locations. For a networked laser printer that speaks both Postscript and PCL they are a real bargain, especially considering their 15 page-per-minute speed...

The Bottom Line: It seemed like a great printer until it died (right after the warranty expired) and then the repair shop folks told me the 1400 series is junk.

A real workhorse and great buy

Review: I bought this machine for the office 5 yrs ago and use it for all my printing. I have yet to have one problem with it. Easy to use; uses toner efficiently and prints quickly and beautifully. A toner cartridge will last me at least 6 months or more.
