Stay Away From Brother Wireless Printers -

i have spent over a dozen hours with Brother tech support

once they get it working, it stops a week later

I have read the directions and have reinstalled and even from scratch, each time, it has trouble connecting.

I have my Brother M.F.C. 640cw unable to connect so many times, I am sick of it. I about know tech supports number by heart. I am not a stranger to wireless networks but my printer is. It is putting out a good signal but it cannot figure out how to use the wireless network that is already there.

Last time I called tech support they set it up so I had to disconnect my wireless Internet and then log in to the printer.

Trying to connect is often a huge pain in the neck.


tech support not open at night or weekend so you must call during business hours and use (in my case) all your cell phone minutes.

I have printed test page after test page while on the phone with them. My I.P. for wireless should not have to change on my computer which is what they've had me do before. I have had so much trouble with this printer scanner and Brother knows it. I have spent so much time calling them to get help I do not see why they cannot have tech support for their SOFTWARE department open at night. I have a great M.F.C. 640cw for sale if anyone is willing to buy this thing from me because I am ready for a different brand all-in-one that has an easier time connecting to the Internet.

Do not buy a wireless Brother printer unless you are a networking professional. I think this product is not fit to be sold in the United States.
