Easy setup, sharp printing and all the right features.
Pros:
Wireless capability; easy setup; cordless handset; compact
Cons:
Paper feeder noisy, at first had some problems grabbing sheets. Seems OK now.
The Bottom Line:
Qualified buy; so far, excellent, but too new to make a call for long-term reliability.

Author's Review
This is a new product, so this review only covers setup and initial impressions.
I picked this one mainly for the wireless capability, to use a single printer for our wireless network. Expected setup to be difficult, but was trouble-free. I didn't set it up completely wireless because I'd read reviews on earlier wireless Brother model, that it was very slow in wireless mode. Instead, I ran a network cable from printer into the router. (The host computer is also hard-wired). But the three other computers on the network are wireless, and I can send print jobs to the Brother printer just fine this way. I didn't have any luck trying this with my HP 950. (I had tried a wireless print server but it caused other problems). After some early tests with this wired/wireless setup, it seems fast enough. I can send a few pages of text from the downstairs laptop and hear it printing within 15-20 seconds.
Printouts of text look fine, sharp enough, not ragged looking or anything. A scan was sharp and as fast as my old HP 950. The LCD menu is clear and easy to follow. The cordless handset is great in that we don't need a separate phone now. You can set it to fax/phone and it will determine if it's a fax or phone call we don't have to do the line switching any more. All in all, it's exactly what we needed in many ways. Now the hope is that it will last a while and not consume too much ink.
