Britax is the way to go

by   mtbk_ski ,  Oct 30, 2001
Pros: Comfort, ease of use, safety, multi seatcover design/color selection, rear/front facing
Cons: Price
The Bottom Line: Although costly, I would not make compromises for the safety and comfort of my child. This carseat is handsdown, an excellent convertible carseat for my infant.
Review: In my quest to finding the perfect convertible carseat for my infant, the Britax Roundabout received an A+.

In order of importance, my basic requirements for finding the right carseat were as follows: Safety (harness type, tether, recall...

Safety , Comfort, and Style, and Worth Every Penny!

by   hamlet ,  Dec 27, 2001
Pros: Safe! Recommended to us as THE BEST by the Livermore Police Department!
Cons: Expensive; however, the safety and comfort outway the hefty pricetag!
The Bottom Line: Worth every penny- safe, durable, and comfortable!
Review: As a family on a budget, my husband and I searched high and low for a safe, affordable carseat--then we took a "Carseat Safety Class" at the Livermore Police Station and found our choice, although it wasn't quite what we had in mind! The officer...

Safe, Easy, Reliable

by   KaraHoo ,  Jan 7, 2000
Pros: Easy to use; attractive; 5-point harness; tether strap
Cons: Expensive
Review: My husband and I chose the Britax Roundabout after a few tries of other carseat brands after our daughter, Riley, was born. We had heard about the Roundabout frequently, although we hadn't seen it in stores. The price--around $200--scared us off for...

A truly great car seat

by   wmacblue ,  Sep 8, 2001
Pros: Quite simply the best out there.
Cons: It costs more than the competition.
The Bottom Line: Find the extra money and get the Britax. You won't regret a penny of it.
Review: I hoped she would stop growing, I really did. And all because I knew that a couple more inches in the torso or 3 more pounds and she would outgrow her Roundabout.

It's generally considered the safest seat on the market, with EPS foam lining...

The safest car seat around

by   thesss ,  Oct 8, 2001
Pros: Safer, quickly installs, more secure, straps don't tangle
Cons: Some material patterns are not as durable
The Bottom Line: It has been worth every extra penny!! It's easier to use and safer than any other I considered. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Review: When I first bought a car seat, I thought that the most important feature to look for was a 5-point harness, so I bought a cheaply priced, 5-point harness system car seat. After 6 months of using it, I discovered that the most important features of a...

Worth Every Penny!

by   kepeters ,  Aug 2, 2000
Pros: Great safety rating, ease of use, stylish, comfortable
Cons: Pricey
Review: We purchased the Britax Roundabout after extensive research into car seat safety and reviewing other parents' comments right here on epinions. Our daughter is a heavy weight, and by 6 months was over the 20 lb weight limit on her infant car seat. There...

money well spent

by   jaselee ,  Sep 13, 2001
Pros: Simple to use, compact, tether
Cons: expensive
The Bottom Line: It was money well spent for my son. It has extra foam for comfort for the baby and it's very easy to use and transfer from one car to another.
Review: I use Epinions quite often before I buy things. I recently purchased this model after a strong recommendation of sales person at BabiesRus and reading other reviews from Epinions.
It's much more expensive than other models (paid $200); however, I...

Pros: Built in lock off clips, Latch connectors stored in seat, #1 4 Safety!!
Cons: A little hard to put in the rear facing position.
The Bottom Line: You get what you pay for! This car seat is rated #1 for safety and that should be the highest priority when purchasing a car seat!
Review: I bought this car based on all of the good reviews here and the fact that it is rated #1 for safety. It is a bit expensive but you can’t put a price on the safety of your child. It is a convertible car seat - meaning it can be used Rear facing ...

Pros: Solid, Safe, Comfortable
Cons: A Little Expensive But Worth It!
The Bottom Line: You won't regret this purchase. Your child's safety is worth the extra money you'll pay for this seat.
Review: I'm not going to go into great detail, but if you are looking for a car seat for your child, this is the one to get.

It's solid, safe, and comfortable. Works, as most do, in forward facing and rear facing positions.

The tether...

Ease of use makes the difference

by   jacquesb ,  Aug 8, 2001
Pros: Easy to use, safe, comfortable
Cons: Expensive
The Bottom Line: More expensive than the others, but worth it.
Review: When our son got to be too big for his infant seat (20 lbs) we were faced with the awful decision of which seat to purchase. Numerous searches on the web and through Consumer Reports were followed with a trip to Babies-R-Us. The selection of seats...
