Safest I could Find!

We figured that of any item we bought for our children, this was the one where money would be no object when paying for safety. We researched many car seats before deciding upon the Britax Marathon. Consumer Reports ranked this the safest car seat the year we purchased it. It has the all important 5 point harness plus what we really liked was the side impact rails for protection in side crashes.

I love the ease of the LATCH system. One of our cars was made in 2000 and does not have LATCH but the Marathon attaches easily, or as easily as any car seat attaches to cars! It fits snug in the seat and my kids are totally comfortable in the soft seat covers. We have taken many long car trips in this car and get no more complaints than usual!

Sometimes, the bottom part of the harness is difficult to snap in and I have to redo it until I hear the click but it's nothing too problematic.

We paid $279 for each of the Marathons we purchased. We eventually needed three car seats for our two cars (4 would be preferable but the expense is too great right now!) I would never buy another car seat!
