Author's Review
We chose this booster (Britax Monarch in Royal Racer (blue)) after searching for safety and consumer reviews. We agree with what we read! Our son is very comfortable in it & loves to ride in his big-boy seat. We bought it as an extra car seat for my husband's car, so he's still usually in his Marathon in our van. Our son is on the small side for using a booster, but he fits in it comfortably and feels so grown up (he just turned four years old, but starting using it when he was 3). He needs help getting buckled up, and the booster does move a bit under him (like on quick turns), but this is pretty much universal.
An important feature for us was the side-impact protection. We were worried that he might feel restricted with the sides near his head, but this hasn't bothered him at all and definitely gives us peace of mind.
We're more concerned about safety than bells & whistles, but he does enjoy having his own cup holder. And he loves the bright blue color (his favorite).
We've used Britax Marathons for both of our sons & have just ordered a Boulevard for our daughter. We're not ready to have our four year old in the booster full time. But is sure handy as a second seat, one that is easily moved from car to car, and great for carpooling to preschool.
