The Bottom Line: I'd recommend this crockpot to just about anyone, families especially and even college students. I couldn't live without mine!
I received this crockpot for Christmas about 6 years ago, I'd had a smaller one that had broken and really wanted a bigger one so I could try out some new recipes.
This crockpot is 6.5 quarts and the inside is removable for easy washing, its got a high and low setting as well as a warm setting.Its a nice looking crockpot too, all white with a glass cover and its very sturdy, I've dropped the cover a few times and its still in one piece and dropped the inside of it once and that didn't break either. Its so easy to use, simply toss your ingredients in the crockpot and 6-8 hours later you have dinner!
My favorite items to cook in a crockpot are simple things like roast beef with potatoes and carrots, or meatballs and sauce, chili and different types of stews and soups. Usually with meatballs, stews and soups I'll use the low settings since they're basically precooked but if I'm making roast beef and vegetables, I'll use the high setting and it takes about 7 hours. I love being able to make dinner at 6:00 in the morning before I go to work and when I come home the house smells like I've been home cooking all day.
This crockpot comes in handy for nutritious meals, we both work alot and we were depending on takeout quite often because it was just easier, now we're eating better as well.
The problem I've come across with this crockpot is that its too big for everyday meals, its fantastic if you're doing something big but for something small for the two of us, theres alot of empty space in there. I ended up going out and buying a smaller crockpot for simpler things and its worked out well.
This crockpot is so easy to use and even easier to clean. I take the inside out and wash it in the sink and the outside cleans easily with a little bit of glass cleaner. I've had it for about 6 years now and i've used it so many times, its definetely one of my favorite appliances. I get so much use out of it!
