Mellow Staind
Date of Review: May 21, 2001
The Bottom Line: A excellent album if you can get past the mellow nature of the disc. Very good.
If your a fan of the first Staind album Dysfunction you might want to hold off on this album. The only reason i say that is because where the first album was metal this one is more grunge than anything. The lyrics are very mellow but the music is still hard. Its a change of pace for sure, and i don't think everyone will respond to it. The best way to describe the cd is if you like the songs "Outside" and "Its Been Awhile" you'll like the cd.
Its still has your normal teenage angst and frustration. But its very emotional the album covers everything from too much pressure to the way society doesn't care anymore. Its a very good album excellent song writing and music just not much anger.
