Perfectly smooth every time
Pros:
Fast & efficient. Best hair removal method possible.
Cons:
Corded. No battery powered option.
The Bottom Line:
If you're a regular waxer or use tweezers for hair removal, this is a much better alternate. Painful, but worth it!!!

The Silk-epil Xelle does an incredible job of removing all the unwanted hairs from any part of your body. It leaves the skin smooth and looking great. Now, keep in mind this is by far not even close to a pain free method of hair removal, but the end result is worth the means!!
Comparing to other hair removal methods:
- advantage over a normal razor shave, the skin remains hair/stubble free for much longer.
- advantage over waxing, while they both remove the hair completely, waxing can leave many hairs behind, and with me, waxing always left me with red irritated skin for days.
- advantage over tweezing, the epilator is fast...there's no comparison. It's the same as tweezing on high speed and not having to worry about grabbing each hair individually.
- advantage over nair. Nair is messy, not always efficient, can burn if left on too long, and requires washing off afterwards.
The Silk-épil X'elle 5180 includes:
-40 tweezer epilation head
-Active massaging rollers.
-SmartLight.
-EasyStart set.
-EfficiencyPro clip.
-2 epilation speed settings (fast and slow)
-12 volt adapter
-Storage Pouch
-Cleaning Brush
Different models come in different colors, meaning each model has only one color available. The 5180 comes in Emerald Green, which I was happy about because being a guy I really didn't want to get a model featured only in Candy Pink or Lagoon (baby) Blue :) You can pay more for other models, but the only "extras" any of them include are additional shaver heads (which really you only need the one), and some feature a facial kit.
The smartlight is a nice feature and helps spot hair being missed. The massaging rollers really don't do anything though in my opinion...this is a painful process, there's no way around it. You are ripping the hair from your skin! The only way around the pain is to use the epilator often. You do get used to it after a few times and shorter hairs remove less painfully.
The only complaint I have about the epilator at all is that it is not cordless. Having to be near an outlet is a big inconvenience, but there weren't any Xelle models that came without one unfortunately.
