Braun 5614 is a winner

My old Braun was over 6 years old. I'd replaced the foil and cutter two times and it was due another replacement. I decided to treat myself to a new razor. First ones I looked at were the kind that had their own cleaning bath. Gave up on them when I found they used a cleaning cartridge that only lasted a month and cost about $5. Figured it would cost me $60 a year just to clean this type of razor.

I liked the reviews on the 5614. Bought it over the web for $59 including shipping from Overstock.com. Had it in two days.

I charged the razor for about 3-4 hours upon receipt. I shaved on this initial charge for exactly one month before I noticed it was running slower. It gives me a close shave and has cut my shaving time by 50%. Seems like this one runs a lot faster then the old razor and just cuts the whiskers faster. At first I didn't like the trimmer for side burns. After using it I like it better then the one on my old razor. It's great for trimming the hair in your ears that seems to migrate there from your head. I also didn't think I would like the swivel head but it is easy to get use to and follows the contours of your face. I like the hard plastic travel case and the great shaves it gives.
