Activate the Activator

I finally gave in and purchased a new shaver. I had looked primarily at the Norelco's and Braun's. I finally decided on the Braun Activator. Of course, I had read many reviews (thanks to all of you consumers who shared their experiences and comments), but was still not sure if I had done the right choice. After unpacking my Activator I immediately noticed how solid it feels. Setup was easy, and charging took only one hour. After that it was time to shave. WOW, just as close as a blade, but without the irritation I get from a blade. Put it back into the base and it got cleaned right away. The display nicely informs you about the status (yes, I do like gadgets). I also like the travel container that comes with it in case you are hitting the road, sure beats those pouches. And yes, it can be charged directly and even used as a corded shaver. Some consumers complained about the high cost for the cleaning fluid ... it cost about 1 to 2 pennies per cleaning. I don't find that too high. Braun has done a very nice job with this product. One more word, I bought mine at Sam's for $130 including two additional cleaning cartridges.
