Boys' Life - I'm been reading it for 30 years or so

by   CyndiA ,  Mar 4, 2006
Pros: Packed with good information. Includes fiction and comics too.
Cons: Some font colors and combinations make for hard reading for old eyes.
The Bottom Line: I've enjoyed "Boys' Life" for years now. It has changed some over time, but it always seems to appeal to the kids.
Review: I can hardly remember a time when Boys’ Life was not a part of my life. My father was the local scoutmaster, and both my brothers made Eagle. Both my sons are in Scouts. This magazine comes with the sign up for scouting. Actually, you can elect ...

Mom, is the mail here yet??

by   KCFemme ,  Aug 8, 2000
Pros: Great articles, scouting tips, and jokes
Cons: Only one copy gets delivered to my house each month.
Review: One of the perks for joining our Boy Scout troop was a year's subscription to Boy's Life. Of course since my son has been a scout for six years, it seems like we have always had a few dozen copies of this magazine laying around the house.

Pros: interesting for children and adults, great tips and advice
Cons: "Boys" in the title - not just for boys
Review: Boys' Life is the one magazine that everyone in my house reads - even my 9 year old daughter. It is the unofficial Boy Scout magazine but there are features for everyone in a family that enjoys the outdoors. We have even started...

Pros: Good Clean Information and Fun
Cons: Usually only Boy Scouts Read It
Review: The Boys' Life magazine had been around longer that I have. It's great reading for any boy no matter how old. I'm 50 and I still read it. I'm a Scout Leader and have been one for almost 30 years. Every Scout in our Troop gets Boys' Life and so...

Boys Life The Magazine

by   mjsreveiws ,  May 4, 2003
Pros: For boys of most ages, is educational, and has lots of things to do.
Cons: It is about Boy Scouts, you may need to have some experience to read it.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this magazine to any boy that is interested in outdoor activities and also is looking for some fun.
Review: This boys magazine is one of the few left that both the child and the parents approve of. Because this magazine is focused on The Boy Scouts of America, it is extremely educational and informational, But in order to understand this magazine 100%, you...

Pros: Produces caring, enviormental friendly, civic minded individuals.
Cons: They may avoid their chores to read it.
Review: Boys' Life is a great publication. They have a variety of features and allways have something to intrest young minds. The best part though is that it focuses on teaching the principals of the Boy Scouts of America. This makes for caring, civic minded...

Why i dislike this magazine...

by   seno ,  Aug 30, 2000
Pros: Short Stories about the wilderness, if you like that
Cons: Not much to do with scouts, some tips here and there but its supposed to be a scouting magazine!
Review: Well, I can tell you something. First of all, a little background information. I myself am an Eagle Scout; so, every year of my boy scout life I got a monthly subscription to this magazine. Now being a boy scout, one would think I myself would enjoy it...
