The real Bottom Line...

by   mrmazda ,   Jan 15, 2000

Pros:  Some good information on how to save money

Cons:  short articles, lack of indepth stories

Overall Rating: 2/5 stars

Author's Review

I have subscribed to Bottom line on and off..At least once a month I get renewal notices and free offers from them but my overall satisfaction with their magazine (more like a 5 - 15 page pamphlet) wasn't what I expected.

I did get alot of useful information from Bottom Line. They cover a large genre of topics that can inform anyone from an investor to a housewife. They have covered topics such as car insurance, house insurance, bonds, stocks, financial fees etc that have all given me some insight into how to trim a little savings off my monthly bills.

Overall though, to me, Bottom Line is a smaller version of some of the many popular magazines such as Forbes, Business Week, Fortune and Motley Fool. They don't go very indepth with many of their stories and most articles are short and really don't give you the complete picture to how you could/can invest to make money or save money on this or that.

The price for Bottom line is more than the pamphlet is worth in my opinion. It is sent out frequently, or at least during my subscription time last year it was because I got it often.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who prefers reading Fortune or the other magazines on the market. Use the money saved to buy stocks.
