Ranger 55 anything but heavy duty!

As an elementary teacher, I depend on a pencil sharpener that will sharpen pencils quickly, on center, and without mess. Unfortunately, the Ranger 55 fails in all of these categories. The cutters are prone to lodge bits of broken lead in them, which prevents them from working properly. The in-feed is so sloppy that it is way too common for pencils to feed off-center. This results in a pencil being sharpened all the way down to the eraser, even if brand new. Lastly, the tab that holds the shaving bin on is a joke, all too often letting the bin drop to the floor, spilling all its contents. After using the Ranger 55 for one school year, I decided that I was in the wrong business. Now I'm trying to think up something I can manufacture that costs much more than it's worth.
