Not one of Mr Bose's best

The Bottom Line: Very disappointing in light of my experience with other Bose products
Review: Like many other people, I believed the right thing to do when obtaining a center speaker to fit in with my Bose 901s was to obtain a Bose center speaker, admittedly I do have Wharfedales as surrounds.

I love the 901s which once setup right...

Dialogue is good... but it has problems...

The Bottom Line: A average speaker. Just a bit better than a decent TV loudspeaker... hmm, I'd expect more from Bose. They are very pricy, but as with all sound systems... audition it!!!
Review: The VCS-10, a stylish, compact loudspeaker designed to sit on top or below your TV to offer a rich vocal sound from the center.

That's exactly the problem. It's a little too tuned to vocals, therefore it's range is highly limited.

Don't make my mistake...

The Bottom Line: I'm not an audio expert but I can tell you that the VCS-10 is not a very good speaker.
Review: I have a set of Bose's Acoustimass Cube speakers (5.1) which I have been pretty happy with, they sound fine and I don't really have space for full-size speakers. Anyway, I just picked up the VCS-10 today because I wanted to upgrade to a 6.1 system...

Great Center Channel

The Bottom Line: Keep it as designed for which is a center channel and not ask too much of it. Buy a sub, decent surround speakers and an amp and your good.

VCS is a great replacement for your center cube

The Bottom Line: On Dolby Digital receivers make sure you set the center speaker to "SMALL" setting in order to gain more clarity.
