Bose LS28 delivers big sound from a small package!!
Pros:
Great Sound, Small footprint, Bose reputation. Everyone loves Bose
Cons:
Pricey, bass could be a little better
The Bottom Line:
No price negotiations. That's a sign of quality. Bose prices are the same on similar models whether they're at a Bose outlet, Wal-Mart, or in Beverly Hills.

Author's Review
The Bose LS28 is the last home theater system that you will purchase for years to come. First of all, the sound is awesome. I must be on the up and up and admit to you that I am a salesperson for a mid to high end electronics dealer, and I am not partial to any brand, therefore I am quite savvy on the sales floor. I cannot and will not sell a product that I do not believe in.
There are a lot of home theater packages that rival the Bose LS28, but once you get into the trenches, dollar for dollar, the Bose LS28 is going to be hard to beat.
When a customer comes in and asks for a home theater system to go along with that nice HDTV set that they just purchased, you want to show them something simple that's easy to use. Well in comes the Bose LS28. It is very easy to use and very easy to set up. So, on with my demo, right? NO!! Because the next thing is price objection. Every salesman has experienced this. The customer says, "My God, this thing costs more than the TV!" "Show me the one that you have for $599"! You can show the one for $599 but show the Bose first. A killer demo on the Bose system will make the average human being that has a heartbeat lose most control of all bodily functions immediately after the demo.
I always ask the customer what kind of music they like. If they say rock, I play R&B. If they say R&B, I play Heavy Metal. What I'm getting at is that Bose makes music that you don't like sound great!
What sets Bose systems apart from others is that they have a very neutral sound that is neither too high nor too low. The ambiance of any track that you play fills the room and gives you a since of warmth without overwhelming you with muddy bass or highs that make you cringe. The sound seems to blend well into any room that it is placed and the sub-woofer on a Bose LS28 can be placed anywhere in the room without anyone knowing where the lows are coming from.
A demo disc that does not fail is Yolanda Adams (Fragile Heart cut). The bass is smooth, her voice seems to overwhelm you with the passion and meanings in her song and it really feels like she is right in front of you. As for movies, a track of "007, Tomorrow Never Dies" won't fail.
After the Bose has been shown to the customer, you can put together a $40,000 sound system to show the customer and it will have trouble competing with the LS28.
The only negative thing about the Bose System as a salesman is first of all, make sure you know your customer very well and get all of their contact numbers because once they buy this system, you will not sell them anymore audio equipment for a very long time. The other drawback is that there are no accessories to sell them. Bose includes everything that the customer needs to get started right inside the box.
So, if a customer wants a system that is easy to use by everyone, lasts forever, gives great sound, great picture and has a great customer service backing as well as reputation, the Bose LS28 is definitely worth the extra bucks... By the way, customers never return these. (good for salesman)
This system also comes in white (LS28W)
Enjoy!!!
