Bye bye theatres, hello Bose!!
Pros:
They sound amazing, look great, and fit anywhere.
Cons:
You (almost) have to buy the Bose stands to get them positioned properly.
The Bottom Line:
We all know Bose is the best for home theatre, which ones you choose is up to you. My money went to these, and I don't regret it.

Author's Review
I am a huge movie fan and love to go see them at the theatre. Big screen, great sound, the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Problems, they are getting more and more expensive to go see, you can't pause the movie, and most theatres aren't as comphy or clean as my house. Solution, THESE SPEAKERS! HOLY COW! I have always liked watching movies at home, but now, you can't drag me to a theatre. These speakers are awesome. I no longer watch movies, I am an active participant. Once you get these positioned properly, and have the appropriate receiver, the movie happens around you. I can sit here and talk about how great they look, which they do, or how great they sound, which they do, but the best way to give you an accurate written portrayal of their overall quality and perfomance is by what I said, they make you a participant. Movies, TV shows, CD's, video games, or just a radio station, these speakers take you into it. The wiring that comes with them is more than sufficient to reach where you want to put them. The instruction manual is easy to read and extremely helpful on proper positioning and how to set your receiver to get the most out of the speakers. I have the resources available that allowed me to have made the perfect mounts for putting the speakers where they need to be. If you don't have the right furniture or shelves in the right places, you would need to get the mounts or stands from Bose to put the speakers there. I think they are a little over-priced, and would have to say this is one of the drawbacks of these speakers. But other than that, I can't think of one regret I have about buying these.
In terms of advice about which set of Bose speakers is right for you, here's what I think you should consider. First off, Bose is the only choice. Second, what are you primarily going to use them for. Third, price. I have a friend that has almost the same setup that I do. His receiver is the next step up from mine, and his speakers are, what I think, the next step up from mine, the Acoustimass 10. I've watched a movie at his place and noticed only a slighter better difference between his and mine. His 2 components total cost was about $900 more than mine (I got a great deal on my speakers). In my opinion, if I had it to do over again, I would still have bought the same system. I don't think his is $900 better than mine. You gotta go with Bose, you just need to get the ones that best do what you want them for and at the price you are willing to pay.
