Small System Large Sound
Date of Review: Oct 2, 2002
The Bottom Line: I recommend the Bose 3-2-1- for quality sound, minimal requirements for space and the ultimate ease of hooking the system up, in itself and any additional media equipment.
I recently purchase a Bose 3-2-1 system, result of downsizing for much smaller accommodations. The price seemed to be the same regardless of which retailer, I bought at Best Buy, (Sears was a bit more.) I had the system unpacked and working within 5 minutes. The most electrical illiterate could put this system together. A 12x24 graphic instruction sheet guides you without effort 1,2,3. The basic hook up required 2 cables, additional cables are included for TV, DVD and VCR. Best of all, they included batteries for the remote. If you noticed the lack of having detailed sound adjustment can be a pro or con. For those of us who want the best sound but don't know the difference between base, treble etc., Bose provides the sound already adjusted for maximum sound. The con is for those who like to adjust in detail, for their particular preferences. There is adjustments when hooked up for DVD. The sound is awesome, like that in a theater. It's incredible the surround sound thats delivered by two 5"X3" speakers. Although the priced seems on the high end, you get what you pay for, quality over quantity.
