Author's Review
I bought this system after researching other comparable home theater systems. I thought it was a good fit considering it would be my starter system, and it has been. Very good value for the money. Easy to set up, instructions are very clear. Bose quality fit and finish, and great sound.
The only thing is that sometimes I feel it could be more powerful and louder, so some folks who are after lots of decibels may look at the higher end Bose systems or other companies' high end systems. The remote is easy to use and buttons are of good size, not small and bunched up. The DVD player works well, and the system plays radio, CDs, CD-Rs/RWs, MP3s, most anything else you throw in. I have my cable box, VCR, Xbox, and PS2 all plugged in to the 3-2-1, and they all sound great.
Thinking about adding more speakers to this system? Get something else. What you see is what you get, there is no expanding with this system. One other thing I didn't like, in order to use the S-video output you have to use an S-video input also. That's a limitation with my cable box, but it would still be nice to use that.
I highly recommend getting the Bose speaker stands if you have a small TV shelf/stand. I believe the product number for that is UFS-20B. They are nice, sturdy, and make the overall appearance better.
In conclusion, I recommend the Bose 3-2-1 System to those looking for a great sounding and easy to set up system who are looking to get the most out of their money. Also perfect for small rooms, such as bedrooms. This is a great deal for anyone in the market for a home theater system.
