Antiquated operation. Atrocious Customer Service

In short....

1. The knobs are too small and difficult to manipulate.
2. When turning off from simmer-mode, one must turn through full-on which invariably emits amounts of gas into kitchen. Simmer should have been in first-on position, not at end of turning cycle.
3. Burners will light but will not stay lit until warmed. Takes at least five seconds of waiting and holding button down. Amazingly antiquated.
4. If you spill something while cooking(like, who doesn't)on the burner rings, they may immediately and permanently stain.

Website never returned emails. Phone line is always experiencing, "high call volume" which means just hang up now and save yourself the irritation.

It took three letters to explain that, despite following all Bosch recommendations, I incurred permanent stains that effectively ruined the aesthetics of an 8-month old unit.

Bosch experts finally wrote, "Due to the type of part it is, in that it gets extremely hot, anything that spills on it will immediately burn on. Soaking these parts in hot sudsy water and then applying soft scrub to remove the stain as soon as they become stained, would more than likely allow the stain to come off.

Will they be paying the medical bills after I grab the searingly-hot elements and then throw them in the hot sudsy water so they don't stain?

After paying $800 for this unit I am astouned at the lack of intelligent functional design and materials.

For Bosch, it would seem money goes into slick advertising copy. It certainly did not go into the R&D of this product.

Just say no to Bosch.
