It is quiet and cleans dishes well. But, the walls stay wet. I have turned up the water heater, and we have used Jet Dry as recommended. The walls are still wet. When you live in humid Louisiana, this is mildew city. The manufacturer says this is normal. Excuse me? The dishwasher always smell after a few days unless we run a fan on it and use towers. We have to use Dishwasher Magic to stop the smell, another cost and annoyance.
Let’s talk more about having to using a rinse agent. Call me old-fashioned, but being required to use a drying agent is like buying a defective dishwasher. It is also another expense you have to consider when buying this product.
Another problem is it takes almost 2 hours to completely the cycles.
We called in a repairman to check, and all the components work "correctly." So, yes, this is how the product works. I suspect they cut corners on the drying to meet new energy standards.
So, in summary you have a dishwasher that “works”, and the dishes do some out dry (if you use a drying agent). But, it requires two additional expenses, requires walls that need to be towel-dried or with a fan or it may reek.
Unless you live in Colorado or the desert, or like the aroma of mildew, absolutely do not buy this product.
