"The Shack" touched my heart and soul

My pastor gave every family in church a copy of "The Shack," with instructions to read the book and pass it on. I finished the book in two days!

I'm glad I took a moment to read the paperback book's cover, as it helped me better understand what was coming. The cover includes a reference to "Pilgrim's Progress," a classic allegory, so I was prepared for something out of the ordinary.

And it was!

My only problem with reading the book was knowing I was supposed to read it and pass it on. If the book had been mine to keep, I would have jotted notes in the margins of truths I felt were revealed to me. Numerous passages reached out and touched me. I have a feeling I'm going to have to get another copy I can keep!

It would be unfair to reveal the plot to potential readers. Let me just say to Christians that the book won't harm your faith or theology, and it may answer some of those difficult questions our hearts have asked.

It's a quick and easy book to read, but it is profound despite its ease of reading. You won't be sorry you read it. You may find yourself changed and your faith deepened.
