Wild Fire? Well not so wild.

I am a big fan of Nelson Demille and John Corey. But sadly Wild Fire is not up to the mark. This novel lacks a good plot. The suspense element is zero. Action is poor. There absolutely was no necessity to kill Harry Muller. Mr.Demille has totally forgotten that professionals do not kill unnecessarily. When bad guys had all the information they needed there was no reason to capture and take Detective Muller to the Custer Club. All they had to do was kick him out. Body count need not necessarily improve the story. Too much of profanity lets down the quality of this book. There are more 'F' words than John Corey's wise cracks. It will be better if Mr.Demille reduces profanity in his future writings.

On the brighter side, it is not a boring book. It will keep the pages turning. There a few good lines. But don't expect another Plum Island or Lion's Game. Though not a great novel, still would Recommend it for fans of John Corey. If you have not read any of John Corey novels, please do not start from this one.
