Pros: Excellent opening and premise
Cons: Poor ending. John Corey lacked his usual spark
The Bottom Line: Detective John Corey loses some of his wit in this poorly ended plot of mutual destruction
Review: John Corey, an ex-NYPD detective, and FBI agent Kate Mayfield, his wife, are teamed up to solve a crime in the making. Author Nelson DeMille, as in his previous John Corey/Kate Mansfield novels, gives most of the action and decision making to the ...

Pros: A good character returns
Cons: Not really heart stopping and a pedestrian ending
The Bottom Line: This is a readable novel if you like the work of Demille. It is not his best.
Review: Nelson Demille has been around, writing in the popular fiction action/adventure genre for quite awhile now. Until he fictionalized the controversy over TWA Flight 800, my favorites were The Generals daughter and Up Country. In Night Fall, a story of TWA ...

Pros: Another John Corey Novel. So keeps reading.
Cons: Poor Plot. Lack of suspense. Too much profanity.
Review: I am a big fan of Nelson Demille and John Corey. But sadly Wild Fire is not up to the mark. This novel lacks a good plot. The suspense element is zero. Action is poor. There absolutely was no necessity to kill Harry Muller. Mr.Demille has totally ...

Pros: good technical knowledge of spycraft and locations
Cons: Slow , sluggish . Good plot idea , poorly executed.
The Bottom Line: Only to be read if you are a Nelson DeMille fan and want to follow the adventures of John Corey or you like dialogue consisting of "f@@k you" .
Review: The Top Line Nelson DeMille brings back the husband and wife duo of ex-NYPD detective John Corey and FBI agent Kate Mayfield in this twisted story, set one year after 9/11, about a radical right-wing plot to nuke two U.S cities. The plot and ...

Pros: Plot could have been interesting
Cons: Poor story structure, annoying characters
The Bottom Line: Don't bother.
Review: I cant really think of a single thing about Nelson DeMilles Wild Fire that I actually liked. The main character was an arrogant prick, and the villain was more over the top than the main bad guy in some lame video game. The plot itself could ...
