The Last Jihad

A fascinating and revealing look into the current possibilities of the war on terror, and the course that the crisis with Iraq could follow. It is a fictional account, but very easy to be drawn into. I found that I could not put the book down, and I have to admit that I finished on the same day that I got it. The plot is intricate and detailed, forcing the reader to reassess the guesses that they have made in almost every chapter. It has a couple of wonderful friendship scenes in the middle of the book and the end is totally action packed. It deals with the terrible decisions that an American president must deal with. In which situations are nuclear weapons a reasonable alternative. My only (minor) problem with the story is that it needed an additional chapter to wrap up a few questions. It almost leaves you hanging, and I would have appreciated more chapters or a sequel. All in all, a great book that I would recommend picking up and enjoying.
