HUSSEIN PREDICTIONS AHEAD OF TIME

by   kirbylee ,  Oct 2, 2003
Pros: A book that grabs you by the throat and never lets go.
Cons: Not a one.
The Bottom Line: Fantastic read. I couldn't put the book down, surrendering much needed sleep to read.
Review: So much has been said about the war with Iraq over the past many months. Some say that it was only about weapons of mass destruction. Others claim that it was an attempt to remove a man from power before he could do his own people more damage. Some have g ...

This Is Good, But Make Sure You Read The Whole Series

by   brookelorren ,  Jul 14, 2008
Pros: Realistic and suspenseful, the first book to an awesome series that ends with a bang!
Cons: Slowly becoming alternative history rather than a political thriller
The Bottom Line: Good on it's own, but even better because the series this starts is outstanding!
Review: I recently started reading Joel C. Rosenberg's books... starting out backwards with the last book in this series, Dead Heat. I enjoyed this book so much, that I had to continue ...

Let's Hope It Never Comes To This

by   moviebookview2 ,  Feb 12, 2006
Pros: Author uses his personal experience and knowledge in his writing.
Cons: Too many characters.
The Bottom Line: Read it. If we're not careful this novel can become reality.
Review: I have never read a novel that could very well be a prediction of future events. That is until I read The Last Jihad, by Joel C. Rosenberg. When I read this book, I felt like I was looking into a Crystal Ball. Rosenberg took events like the war in ...

The Last Jihad

by   shadowkrt ,  Feb 22, 2003
Pros: Fascinating! A wonderful read
Cons: Ending just begs for an additional chapter.
The Bottom Line: All in all, a great book that I would recommend picking up and enjoying. Be prepared to not be able to put it down, though!
Review: A fascinating and revealing look into the current possibilities of the war on terror, and the course that the crisis with Iraq could follow. It is a fictional account, but very easy to be drawn into. I found that I could not put the book down, and I...

The Last Jihad Grips Interest

by   Elain3 ,  Feb 11, 2003
Pros: Fast moving and terrifying premise
Cons: overly confident of world events ten years hence.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended. Interesting and terrifying.
Review: The Last Jihad opens ten years from now with a very successful conservative president heading home from a victory tour after mid-terms. It is Thanksgiving and the president and his entourage have landed in Colorado and head out by motorcade to his...

Rosenberg's Romp Through The Headlines Is Entertaining

by   Joubert , top reviewer in Books at Epinions.com ,  Jun 28, 2004
Pros: Fast paced insider novel of world events...
Cons: ...allows readers to escape despite a plot like a comic book without pictures
The Bottom Line: Go on -- you know you have time. This is fun reading, nothing serious -- a guilty pleasure you can enjoy with that pint of premium ice cream.
Review: With the stigma of the September 11 terror attacks and subsequent war in Iraq still fresh, journalist Joel C. Rosenberg uses his extraordinarily detailed knowledge of behind-the-scenes Washington to create one of the best topical thrillers I have read in ...
