Pros: A literary classic; Many hilarious jokes; Diversity of Characters
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: I strongly recommend the Canterbury Tales to anyone who wishes to read literature from Middle European History, or even just looking to read a good book.

Review: Before I start my review, I would like to say a few words. First, allow me to apologize for my nonexistant ratings and not writing as much as I used to. Eleventh grade just started in the beginning of September, and so far, it has taken me on a...

Review: I did an entire class on The Canterbury Tales one semester in college. I had read some tales before that in high school, but had not really delved deeply into any of them except "The Wyf of Bathe's Prologue and Tale".

Cons: The slang might cause you to miss some jokes. Read the tales very carefully, you won't be sorry.

Review: I can't speak for everyone here, if I could I'd be in the circus, but the first time I heard the words "Canterbury Tales" I just knew I was going to hate it. Poetry? Come on teach, can't you just poke my eyes out with a stick or something? Written...

Pros: Chaucer really brings the Middle Ages to life in a way that we can understand today.
Cons: The older English can sometimes be harder to understand.

Review: This is a fictional account of thirty pilgrims on a sacred trip to Canterbury Cathedral. Despite the fact that this is a fictional account, I believe that Geoffrey Chaucer?s Canterbury Tales is an awesome representation of Medieval social structure...

Pros: The only book that can tell you about an entire time period...pure marvellous
Cons: It had to be translated...so it lost some of Chaucer's original meaning
The Bottom Line: I loved it, you will love it...no questions asked. It is witty, true, and amazing that someone can get away with saying all these things.
