All aboard with The Boxcar Children

The Bottom Line: Despite being slightly out-dated, this is the first book in a series that children will love.
Review: Over this past summer, my family and I had to drive from the Chicago area to Ohio various times to attend to family matters. To make the drive a little less monotonous, I went to the library to find some books to share with my six-year-old daughter...

Where is a Social Worker When You Need One?

The Bottom Line: A good place to start to get a feel for the characters, but the book is dated.
Review: I have trouble finding books for my 6 year old daughter to read. Many of the books she wants to read have themes that I am not ready for her to explore. When my nephew passed on his entire series of "The Boxcar Children" by Gertrude Chandler Warner...
