Author's Review
Remarkably, this book, the very one which graced the shelves of ancient japan and china, is on epinions.com. This book, more than any other, has contributed to the rise of generals. It's simple, poetic prose is excelently suited for any tactician, or armchair general.
Sun Tzu has exemplified more strategem than any other person in the entire military community, for the past 2,500 years. It's copies grace the walls at West Point, in London, in Paris, in Moscow, literally everywhere in the world. If you have had any interest in the military, just pick it up at the local library.
Sun Tzu's prose is simple. Little anecdotes on strategy: how to manage troops, how to attack in a siege, what type of logistics you need during a campaign. It's all divided up into chapters for easy reading.
For someone who lived over 2,500 years ago, his writings are still very powerful. A little modification for modern times, and you're done. I really can't say anything more. Just go out and buy it.
