Sail; You'll Easily Breeze Through This One

by   popsrocks ,  May 13, 2009
Pros: Interesting plot and twists
Cons: Lack of character development
The Bottom Line:

Sail is a quick and exciting read even if it does lack solid literary platform.

Review: I've read a few James Patterson books. They are usually a good read. This one is too but, it's quick, mindless, silly in a place or two and doesn't carry much depth of character. PlotThe plot is rather simple and ...

Sail by James Parrerson and Howard Roughan

by   angiedav ,  Jul 6, 2009
Pros: Quick and easy read.
Cons: I like James Patterson better when he writes by himself
The Bottom Line: I really enjoyed this book (Sail)

The Bottom Line: Although James Patterson writes some great suspense/crime novels, I would leave this one on the shelf.  The writing isn't of his normal quality and the characters and plots are thin.
Review: I want to start out by saying I am a fan of James Patterson. I have read about 90% of his books and have, for the most part, enjoyed them all. With that having been said, I did not really like Sailas much as I would have expected. Although the ...

A Sinking Ship, James Patterson's "Sail" is Not Worth The Time

by   Javelina ,  Nov 25, 2008
Pros: Fast, entertaining, interesting plot, some suspense
Cons: Kind of predictable, shallow plot and characters, some loose ends
The Bottom Line: I thought this would be a more unique mystery and a riveting book, but I found myself skimming through sections - just not that good.
Review: With a toddler that has endless amounts of energy, I find myself looking for books that are quick and entertaining.  I browse the new books section at the library hoping to find something I can read, and I have read many James Patterson books this ...
