Book you definetly should read!

Hello my name is Alicia,I enjoy reading a lot of books,but my personal favorite is Roll Of Thunder,Hear My Cry. It is about a African American family named the Logans.It tells about the hardships they face due to being slaves,and how they overcome their problems. Cassie Logan is a strong little girl,I like how the author made her so down to earth and opinionated.But there are some things about her that make me kind of aggravated,I mean she stands up for herself,but she seems to do it a little bit to much.She does not know how to keep her mouth closed when needed to. Then there is her brother Christopher John,he is the the youngest and I must say he is my favorite charecter.The author described him so well that I can just feel the way he acts.He is 5 and he really cares if he gets dirty,and he is usually scared of a lot of things.The Momma and Poppa are people that care alot about there families,and make sure that they teach the children well.Stacey,the middle child,he is kind of like Cassie except a little less opinionated. This book offers some really good parts that are described extremely well. It almost feels as if you are there,thats how good it is. But sometime they describe a little to much,for if you dont like to hear about burnings and other terrible things done to African Americans,then this isnt the book for you. I suggest that this book be read by people that our ages 14-adult. I dont recommend it for any lower ages. When I compare this book to other books I have read about African Americans,I must say that this is the best one I have read yet. The authors writing style is amazing,she offers such a clear picture when she writes,I would definetly read other books by her. Although I havent read any other books by her,I would recommend that if you see any titles by Mildrid D. Taylor,then you should go ahead and read it.
