A beginning to financial education

Many reviews complain about how this book does not give enough in-depth advice and recommendations. But those people just don't get the true understanding of this book. I'll explain..

This book is about a way of life, a way of doing things. The author basically writes about his life story, in a very interesting manner and makes it apply to his financial life. The title primarily concerns his two fathers, his biological one, whom is a successful educator (with a lot of education) versus his best friend's father, whom is a successful businessman (with no education).

He tries to explain how being rich requires a lot of internal work first. Some of them being: being neutral to winning or losing money on the market and never being a slave to money.

Many writers of review comment that it does not give enough in-depth advice and recommendations. Well, do you think a book will give you the right stocks to pick, the right houses to buy? Then everybody would be rich right? No...that's not what the books for.

To be rich, you have to understand what it takes, and you get that through experience and personal actions. This book just introduces you to the world of wealth and shows you a way of getting there, internally. Not actually handing you hand-picked stocks to buy.

This is a great read, especially for high school students or anybody for that matter. Remember, it's never too late to change your life in a better direction.

I recommend you read the two sequels to this book as well, Cash Flow Quadrant, which deals with the four types of people in this world, and then Rich Dad's guide to investing, which deals with the 7 types of investors and insights onto investing.
