Author's Review
This book is another handy item to have with you if you are a medical student. Its small, concise, and very portable. It makes it easy to reference while at work!
The Pocket Medicine a small book that gives a lot of information. It divides the information by specialty. So, if you are looking at a patient or a case that involves the heart, you can just flip over to the cardiology section. In the cardiology section, you will find descriptions of all the different possible ailments. Each ailment will have definitions, signs, treatments, and helpful graphs and charts listed. This can really be helpful when you are either trying to look up some extra info about a disease or just need to clarify something. I have found this book to be extremely useful. The other sections this book has are: pulmonary, gastroenterology, nephrology, hematology, infectious diseases, endocrinology, rheumatology, and neurology. It is very neatly divided and everything is indexed so that each section and the ailments within each section are easy to locate.
Overall, a great reference book to have. I have found this book to be so helpful. And I know even after I am done with school, I will continue to find many uses for this book!
