"Lucky Man", fortunate readers!

Date of Review:  Apr 7, 2004
The Bottom Line: Bravo! As appealing about his life and his struggle with fame as it is revealing about the throes of living with Parkinson's.
Review: Fox, the star of the US Network television show "Family Ties" and the brilliant comedy "Spin City", is an actor who made a successful transition into film work ("Back to the Future", "The Frighteners", "Casualties of War"). By far, his hardest role...

Tear Jerking Yet Uplifting

Date of Review:  Apr 10, 2002
The Bottom Line: Read this book if you want to delve into the life of Michael J. Fox and learn everything important about him.
Review: Michael J. Fox has always been known as a nice guy. So what has he been DOING in Hollywood? In Hollywood nice guys often finish last. But in Fox's case, he beat the odds.

It's no secret that some of the Powers That Be weren't entirely...

In good times, and bad.

Date of Review:  Dec 9, 2002
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading biographies, inspirational stories about triumph and about ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
Review: This book was absolutely amazing. MJ Fox is not only a tremendous actor...he's a fantastic writer, comedian and campaigner for a great cause! He knew he was meant to be in the people's eye from an early age. He knew that he could touch other's lives...

Date of Review:  Aug 28, 2003
The Bottom Line: You don't have to know anyone with Parkinson's to enjoy this book. Fox's on screen charm is fully on display in this book, too.
Review: Growing up, Michael J. Fox was sort of like my big brother, being a couple of years older than me. If I was a character on FAMILY TIES, I would have been a classmate of Mallory's. Such was the impact of that show (squeezed in between Cosby and...

Lucky Man

Date of Review:  Jun 21, 2002
The Bottom Line: Lucky Man is about the truth of being who you are. It taught me more about myself while entertaining me the whole time.
Review: Michael J Fox's memoir, Lucky Man, is an excellent read. It's a simple and straightforward, honest and sincere view of Fox's short span of 40 years.

He begins his memoir with the day he first felt what he would later learn was one of the...

Date of Review:  Jul 26, 2002
The Bottom Line: Excellent insight into Fox's life showing the difficulties that have been unknown to the general public.
Review: In 1998 Michael J Fox told the world he had Parkinson?s Disease. It came as a shock to almost everyone, yet Fox had had the disease since 1990, and had managed to keep it hidden all that time, not just from his public but from many of those he...
