A Classic Play About a Troubled Man

Date of Review:  Jun 7, 2001
The Bottom Line: Everyone should read Hamlet eventually, so I definitely recommend it, along with all of Shakespeare's works.
Review: "...I am punished with sore distraction. What I have done... I here proclaim was madness" (V, ii, 140). This line, spoken by Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark, is a self-admitted declaration of his troubled life. Many problems face Hamlet on the...

To read or not to read? READ!

Date of Review:  Jun 6, 2000
Review: During my high school career I, as most students are, was forced to read many books, short stories, poems and plays that I would never have any intention of reading in my spare time. However most of these books, upon deeper study, show their true...

Date of Review:  May 9, 2000
Review: For generation upon generation children have been taught to use force in their language and to restrain from force in their physical actions. However, it is this very hesitancy towards action that has lead to the downfall of countless characters...

Revenge A Dish Best Served Cold

Date of Review:  Nov 25, 2009
It's Good For: Adults, Women, Men, Entertainment, Casual Reading, Teenagers, Education
Review: Hamlet is a popular Shakespeare tragedy. About a young man consumed by his quest for revenge on his father's killer. Along, the way he commits unspeakable acts with repercussions. It details the toll a single-minded quest takes on a person.
