Pros: emotional, touching, wonderful story, simple yet full of layers of love
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Mitch Albom has captured your heart and spirit again with his work in For One More Day. It is truly a must read for nearly every age.
Review: Mitch Albom is known for his work, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, and he has returned with another breathtaking novel in For One More Day. When you buy a book, you never quite know where it will take you on its own journey. The ...

Must read for Mitch Albom fans!

by   llsgia0691 ,  Feb 5, 2007
Pros: Excellent, well written, fast read book. Able to be read in very short time.
Cons: None!
The Bottom Line: I think this book should be required reading for all high school aged students. Maybe more students would think twice before they act.
Review: I have read Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People you Meet in Heaven and this his latest book For One More Day and absolutely loved them all! This book flows with the same excitement and ease as the the other two mentioned also written by Mitch Albom. I ...

An Interesting Work

by   ariella440 ,  Jul 7, 2007
Pros: literary style, plot, subject matter
Cons: too short
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this work to all, because regardless of age, gender, etc, each reader would benefit from this work.
Review: Mitch Albom has done it again in his newest work. I purchased this product because I read "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" and found it quite enjoyable. In his work "For One More Day," Albom explores death and the afterlife in a novel manner. Each ...

A small package that delivers a powerful punch

by   mimi-y_blood ,  Nov 8, 2006
Pros: A compelling story from beginning to end that stays with you long after you finish.
Cons: the living seeing the dead may bother some
The Bottom Line: This is a story of family and the roller coaster of emotions that come from being a part of one. But the bottom line is there is always hope.
Review: Mitch Albom has again written a short but exceptional book. The number of pages may be few but it is a total package. His story of family, and all the emotions that come with them, will stay with you long after the last page is finished. This is a story ...

An emotional tribute to family bonds, love and forgiveness

by   cherylktardif ,  Dec 28, 2006
Pros: Thoroughly gripping!
Cons: For One More Day was a just a bit predictable.
The Bottom Line: Buy this book if you enjoy an emotional read!
Review: I was totally absorbed by For One More Day by Mitch Albom, and taken back to a time when I, too, was young and everything seemed innocent, confusing and not always explainable. I highly recommend this read, but be prepared--you'll need a box of Kleenex ...

Pros: Makes you appreciate what you got, and holds your interest.
Cons: if I had to say one I would say that it was to short.
Review: The Five People You Meet In Heaven was an amazing book, but Tuesday's With Morrie really blew me away. I truly feel that this one is definitely the best yet! Like his other two books, it's a highly powerful story that really makes you think about ...

Can't put it down

by   velinda14 ,  Mar 20, 2007
Pros: This book is a quick read with a great message. Mitch Albom's writing style shines.
Cons: Might be too heavy for younger teens.
Review: This is another great story aptly told by Mitch Albom. He has a very conversational tone, and gets across his message without being too preachy. This would be a great read for a young person at the crossroads in their ...

If We Only Had the Chance to Spend One More Day

by   msmorvay ,  May 6, 2007
Pros: Thought provoking storyline.
Cons: Not as good as Tuesdays With Morrie or The Five People You Meet in Heaven.
The Bottom Line: This is a nice short read, with an interesting story line, and a creative process.
Review: When I saw Mitch Album on a couple of talk shows promoting his new book For One More Day, I knew instantly that I wanted to read it. I heard Mitch say a couple of times on a couple of different shows, “What if you could spend just one more day with ...

Enjoyable Enough but not Endearing

by   pinksteeler ,  Mar 28, 2007
Pros: Quick read, universal theme, manages to tug your heart
Cons: Not up to par nor as engaging as his other works
The Bottom Line: It's a bittersweet story and I liked it but not as much as Albom's other books. I think it is worthy of recommending a reading but not for purchasing.
Review: “For One More Day”, Mitch Albom’s latest novel, is another bittersweet tale of life, love, and loss. As with his previous similar themed books, it’s a quick read. The short 197 pages yield a tug at the heartstrings but it lacks the intense and personal ...
