Find Out Why Martie Was Afraid of Herself in False Memory |
|||
|
Pros: Engrossing story. I couldn't put it down. Scary
Cons: It may be too long for some people
The Bottom Line: False Memory is a great book that is worth reading. Koontz fans should enjoy it.
Review: A few years ago I was telling a friend about a book I had just read and really enjoyed. He told me that the plot sounded similar to some books by Dean Koontz, and suggested I try some of his books since I liked the book I was talking about so much. ...

Pros: I couldn't put this book down. A real thriller.
Cons: Confusing to read at first because of all the characters.
The Bottom Line: This is the first Dean Koontz book I've read. It certainly won't be the last. Oh yeah, and it was scary as Hell.
Review: Imagine this:
Your best friend has Agoraphobia. This means that she is afraid to go outside of her apartment. Twice a week you have to drive over to her apartment, pick her up, and drag her to see her psychiatrist, Dr. Ahriman. ... |

Pros: Excellent writing and plot
Cons: Too overdrawn at parts
The Bottom Line: If you liked Koontz's other novels, chances are you may like this one.
Review:
Extremely well written, a highly recommended book, however there were minor drawbacks. Prior to reading this book I had read 3 other books by Koontz, A Key To Midnight, Dragon Tears, and Intensity, all of which I really enjoyed. So recently I... |

Pros: great characters, intricate plotline, chilling ideas
Cons: None
Review: I've never considered Dean Koontz a very good writer. Now don't get me wrong -- I'm an avid Koontz fan, and I've probably read 90% of the books he's authored. But in my experience, there are good writers, and there are good storytellers, and rarely...

The Bottom Line: I would recommend this book to others because it is a wonderful suspense story.
Review: I have just recently started reading books by Dean Koontz and I haven't found one yet that I did not enjoy. False Memory is the latest. I just finished it and I absolutely loved it!!

Pros: It's brilliant.
Cons: It's not long enough. I want MORE--you hear me? MORE!
The Bottom Line: It's an on the edge of the seat, unable to put it down kind of book. It's a thriller in the best sense of the word.
Review: This is a wonderful book.
I could stop my review right there, but I won't, I promise. False memory chronicles the story of Dusty and Martie Rhodes and their battle with un-explainable phobias, missing peices of time, and reoccuring nightmares.... |

Pros: Brilliant story, didn't want it too end.
Cons: It ended.
Review:
The greatest lie the Devil ever told was convincing the world he didn't exist. Most of you know that quote from a famous movie, but the question is, why did I use it to open my review? Because I believe it goes a long way toward explaining... |

Pros: Koontz has masterfully crafted his madman here like never before. True evil in every angle.
Cons: The ending is not what i expected it to be, a bit incomplete.
The Bottom Line: Hard to believe but true, this book will make you think twice about yourself. Highly recommended for serious readers who are looking for a reason to be scared!
Review: Dustin and Martine Rhodes are your average American couple. Martie is a computer game designer, whose most recent work is a game based on the bestselling novel, The Lord Of The Rings. Dusty is a house painter who takes care of his beloved brother Skeet,...

Pros: Original, terrifying, and well-written
Cons: Almost too frightening!
Review: Dean Koontz is a writer who seems to turn out one excellent book for every three or four mediocre ones. With "False Memory", however, Koontz proves that he is more than just a Stephen King wannabe, and far more than a cut above John Saul. This...
